Essential Oils

Benefits of Frankincense and How to Use it: My Journey

First of all, I am not a licenced aromatherapist or anything near like that. I just love what my journey leads me to when I have typical problems or issues arise. It’s amazing and exciting to find that something works other than a pill, over the counter or otherwise, which is why I am so excited about Frankincense! Specifically, Frankincense Carteri!

First of all, a quick caution on using eo’s (ie. essential oils), essential oils should never be applied directly to  skin or inhaled through a vaporizer or diffuser, nor ingested. For topical use (means on the skin), test the essential oil on a small patch of skin before applying it to other areas. You should dilute with a carrier oil, cream, or lotion accordingly.

I have inflammation in my hands and fingers, thumbs, even an ankle. Do you relate? Could it be age related or, maybe from all the texting we do or computer work(not the ankle, lol!)?? Not real sure.

Nonetheless, I took a roll-on bottle I bought from a natural food store and put some almond (fractionated coconut oil would also work well) oil in it, then, added about 6-10 drops of my frankincense oil to it. I rubbed that on my sore joints!

The first time I tried this, it was on a painful ankle joint , but, actually my journey with frankincense started out a couple of years before when…

Hubby was having headaches, restless legs and couldn’t sleep. I wasn’t finding a lot to help with all that, which wasn’t a potential toxin, ie., acetaminophen, ibuprofen. Vitamins such as calcium and magnesium were only helpful to a point.

I came across Frankincense oil in my research, bought a bottle of it. Honestly, I made my husband use it first, because , well, number one, he is completely sceptical. I knew if it worked on him, well, then, it would work for me!

We rubbed a small amount on the bottoms of his feet; You can also add the oil to pressure points, temples, back of neck, even , yes, your belly button! With that said, I tell other enthusiastic listeners repeatedly to not ingest it, but, instead to rub essential oils on the bottoms of the feet, as it has the largest pores on the body and absorbs quickly! Wah-Lah!

He was so impressed the next morning how effective it was more than we even anticipated. It continues to helps his restless legs and sleeplessness. I quickly tried it then the next night for myself, and have been hooked ever since l!

As my research continued(s) on this little jewel of essential oil, I found it has anti-inflammatory properties! no wonder it helps so much with my aches and pains (This is the part where my sore ankle joint comes in!) . I rarely need to apply it to my ankle anymore.

From there I read about it being helpful for heavy periods( this is where my belly button comes in!). I know , I know, I will only say it really does work applied in the belly button and around it! 😉

Now, I have moved on to painful finger joints and thumbs! I am happy to relay to you my encouraging results. It seems to be effective in my case(s), at least. 🙂

I encourage you all to research and learn about alternative methods to deal with age old problems. You may be super surprised! Be sure to leave me a comment or update if you try frankincense! I look forward to hearing from you!

Okay, go team! Do you have other oils you would like to read about? Leave you suggestions below.

Until later, Pj

Hey, everybody! It’s been too long!

What! Am I back to blogging, again?

Be yourself; Everyone else is already taken.

— Oscar Wilde.

This is the first post on my blog. I had to dust off my site and get it going again!. So stay tuned for more. (Subscribe below to get notified when I post new updates.)

It has been a long time since I have been in the blogging world! So much has change and some things have stayed the same, I am relieved to know!

I just got back from eating mexican food and going to the coffee shop afterwards with my huband, whom I will affectionately call Hubby!

I wasn’t intending to start blogging again. It wasn’t even on my to do list, honestly. Just doing some homework which led to this and that. I used to put a lot of thought into my computer sites. This one, again, in all honesty, is incidental. LOL! we will see how it goes.

Anywho, back, to my date with hubby, I got home with a bloated and full stomach! The green tea with ginseng didn’t seem to help matters! Do you know this feeling? Yes?! I ran to my medicine cupboard, which is essentially, a bunch of herbs and natural remedies! I barely even keep ibuprofen in it!

I rubbed my Magnesium Plus stick on my belly, then, took a couple of probiotics and enzyme pills. At the time of this writing I do indeed feel much better. I love that I found something for those aches, pains, and discomforts I experience. Wheew!

As you follow me on my mid-life journey, I hope you get to know me better, and I want to get to know you all as well. And…here we go! Take care, I will talk to you later! ♥ Need a good night’s sleep if I’m going to work tomorrow! Peace out!

Hey, there I am Pj!

I am a bit rusty. Bear with me as I dust off my writing slash blogging skills!

This is just a little snippet about me! I am a CNA/CMA in a facility for the aged in the great Midwestern Iowa!

Why do this? Well, it is very incidental , actually, I arrived home from a date tonight, had some homework from my at home business to do for our online class and here I am!

  • If you continue to read my blog, I hope you will learn about me and maybe learn a few things about what to do or what NOT do! Learn from my mistakes, maybe!!
  • I want to use this space to focus on my work from home and letting my friends and customers get to know me better.

I was in affiliate marketing for several years, when I finally found a company I loved. I left my websites behind and started concentrating on my cna/cma profession in healthcare.

One of the first banners I created on an old now defunct website of mine!

To help you get to know me better, here are a few answers to your possible questions:

  • I decided to blog publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal in order to get more information out there about nontoxic products and home business.
  • I will write about my general every daily life and things that help me survive! 🙂
  • I want to connect with other moms. I think we have mutual benefits and the ability to uplift, elevate, and inspire each other!
  • I hope to accomplish having a broader scope and base of comrades in the next year. I believe that we are all a team and constantly on the lookout to enlarge my tribe!

So, thank you if you have gotten this far. I look forward to our journey together! 🙂

Love and peace, PJ ♥
